The Cathedral
The Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and one of Christian churches in size in the world. The tomb of Christopher Columbus, by Arturo Mélida mausoleum is located on the right arm of the transept of the Cathedral. In 2006, a research team at the Laboratory of Genetic Identification at the University of Granada confirmed that the remains of Christopher Columbus are in the Cathedral of Seville.
La Giralda
The Giralda is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville and the tower section of the city. Archive of the Indies
The General Archive of the Indies was established in 1785 under the reign of Carlos III with the aim of centralizing in one place the documentation in the Spanish colonies, hitherto scattered in various archives: Simancas, Cádiz and Sevilla. Marketplace Merchants House of Seville, built during the reign of Philip II between 1584 and 1598 by Juan de Mijares on plans of Juan de Herrera, is the headquarters of the file.
Plaza of Spain
